File 2007.01: Walker v. Wal-mart

Case Type: Personal Injury

Description:
While shopping at a local Wal-mart, a woman bent down to pick up some merchandise from a bin and was caught on an unattached rack that fell on her, knocking her over and causing back injury.

Visualizations Produced:
Using photos from the time of the accident, Fearless Eye recreated the area of the store in question using photogrammetry. A 3D model of a woman was then placed in the 3D store model, allowing the viewer to see that there was insufficient room between the bin and the rack to allow for customer movement, causing the woman to get caught on the rack.
