File 2001.01: Rauer v. BNSF

Case Type: Railroad Accident - Train Pins Engineer

Description:
Accident in which the train engineer was pinned between two car couplers. Defense argued that the engineer did not look back to see that the moving train car was close behind him as he walked toward the stationary train car.

Visualizations Produced:
A series of 2D and 3D animations illustrating the engineer walking, making hand motions and being pinned between the two cars. Large poster exhibits were produced to show the full track layout and the positions of the train and the engineer.
