File 2007.03: Colp v. Ford
Case Type: Personal Injury
Description:
A van entered into an intersection on a red light and was struck on the rear passenger side by another vehicle. The van spun over 90 degrees, rolled on it's side where it spun 180 degrees before righting itself. In the process of the rollover portion of the accident, the rear passenger sliding door flew off, ejecting the rear passenger from the vehicle.
Visualizations Produced:
A Cadd based model of the intersection was built, along with both vehicles involved. An animation of the accident was then produced, illustrating the affect the impact had on the van, when the van door flew off, and how the passenger was ejected.
